Now is not the time to rant about my reaction to Book 7. Most of my friends already know how I feel, from my rather strong comments on other journals

I'm soooo sad! Whatever will we do with our time if we're no longer under the spell of a twerp with a scar and all his dead friends? Perhaps will have to...I don't know...write about OTHER people? Holy crap...I don't know any other people anymore!!
I don't know...I'm freaking out a bit. I have a case of writer's block that is reaching epic proportions! What does one write about when one doesn't know what to write about?
1. Write about stuff that pisses you off. 2. People who irritate you. 3. A happy memory 4. A day in the life 5. Follow a single character through an annoying holiday (XMas Day, Valentines, etc) 6. Read the obits - they've got the best stuff 7. Speaking of which, get something from the news 8. Update your favorite classic short story 9. Say "f-it!" and just watch HGTV.
Heh - I think it'll be over when I finish my own 'fic. I feel your pain on the memorabilia, though - I've got these truly massive cardboard banners to get up on e-bay/some other HP site, and of course, the camera just broke. :(
Oh, and I believe from the news I heard that her next book for Comic Relief will be out in '09, and I assume that's the encyclopedia. Not sure if I want it, though - at this point it's fandom over canon, ya know. ;D
Wow, just wow - I just couldn't agree more. 1-4 are still on the shelf, but somehow...somehow in the months before DH, the other two managed to hide, either by the computer for research or just under papers (subcontious much?). I've just no motivation whatsoever to read them again after the travesty. I guess I'm still half in shock - how could she have hated her whole universe that much? I can't get her quote from one of the last interviews before DH came out of my head, that "Some fans will love it and some will hate it" - I worried when I first saw it, but honestly assumed JKR was referring to the Harmonians and the slashers, who wouldn't be getting the ending they wanted. I never even thought the "people who would hate it" would be all her real fans because of all the continuity errors, plot holes, and poor writing. I almost wonder if she laughed her ass off after the interview. *lets out laugh of pure bitterness*

You might also want to post your eBay links to harrydraco. I just saw someone do this with H/D doujinshi.
