31 Days of Blogging: Day VII - Your Pet Hates
Day VII - Your Pet Hates Dislikes
First things first, we're going to cross out the word hate. I get so annoyed at this word. I don't hate anything. I don't "pet hate" anything, like there's adorable tiny versions of hate allowed to run rampant around in my life either. Along, with I really twitch hard every single use of that word, by every single person, ranting with it on fandom right now. It makes me feel like they are stabbing an ice pick in my brain each time it's used now.
Thus, we'll start with -- I incredibly dislike opulent exaggerations and flippant usages of the word hate.
I dislike that we still need to be fighting for racial, sexual, socio-ecomicaly equality, and that people need to be convinced its right. I dislike when people use any of those as a banner to make points that aren't wholly in and of themselves. I dislike that cancer still exists, and that people are still dying almost two decades after my sister died of it. End point.
I dislike the mess my main fandom has become, and how I'm learning to hold my tongue, rather than have an honest opinion, with pretty much everyone I share that fandom with. I dislike that I don't use my journal enough. I dislike that there are problems with using both live journal and dream-width both, and that using both will be a sieve on my wallet. I dislike that I'm reading less books at lunch right now.
....I dislike that my room is sort of a mess? I'm going to fail this prompt. There isn't all that much I care about enough to dislike madly. Oh! I really dislike Lady Chatterly's Lover even existing and will refuse to read it, even if it effects my grades, but own it because of the sheer emotional response of vehemence it evokes in me? I dislike that I'm waiting for dinner to ding, because my stomach is hungry now?
I dislike that payday is still four days away, and going to be small due to the whole 4-day work week? I dislike needing to wait for January 1st to know about the end of this whole job situation? I dislike that I don't own a Tardis yet, so I can travel to all my loved ones, all over the world, and still be back in time for tea?
