MeYouHealth Daily Challenge Rose (
fire_and_a_rose) sent me a invite and I went crazy over it, in a way Mind Bloom isn't getting me to. (Which is probably all about the 7 am notes in my e-mail.) I was so in love with it I even drug Li (
trelali), Steph (
neenie) and several of my friends and RCG Women I love and respect into it.
Every single day you are given a new prompt at 7 am in your e-mail of a task to do. They've been all sorts of things. Walking and talking with people. Exercises. Leaving a note with a smiley face for someone. Throwing out a piece of old clothing. Relaxing the muscles in your face. Being more conscious of one piece of paper-use in the day.
Each one comes with a challenge and even links to how this helps your health. Today's was about stripping your bed and vacuuming your mattress, which got me into the swing of doing so much more. I never focus a whole lot on my bed in the swing of house cleaning, giving it the general once-over-ness.
But today I got all out with this one. I took off the sheets and down feather mattress pad, sprinkled baking soda and vacuumed it. (Which I never knew about, but will add to every time I remake my bed now). In the swing of things I changed sheets from satin to jersey today, tossing the old ones into the wash. I'm sending my down feather mattress pad to the dry cleaner, washing the duvet on my down feather coverlet and the temperpedic pillow covers that go inside the pillow cases.
I'm endlessly joyful about how awesome and recleaned all of my bed will be. And how much this challenge does for my life in tiny steps every day. (And if anyone decides to join it, I'd love to friend by you!)
