It always takes me a few days to get to the last things. Stuff in the mail and dinners and lunches later that week. Orders to finalize. All of that has come to an end and so now I write up my birthday. My birthday dinner at Mad Hatter's was wonderful. I had tons of people come and go, much with the talking and laughing and hugging.
I was always going to order the High Tea meal, with the three tiers of sandwiches (cucumber & cream cheese, chicken salad, and salmon & cream cheese), a scone with butter & jelly, four petit fours and three-cup pot of tea. Amazingly, that morning I realized I had a Groupon/living social deal for $20 worth of food at Mad Hatter's still. And then magically, my total for the night was $19.47. So I never had to spend any money on the whole night.
The day was full of notes from everyone. On my journal, on friends, on
ways_back_room,
a_dazzle_ship, and tons as well on facebook. I was swamped with notes of love and laughter and light from all of you. Which made my heart brim over and over, every hour. An ocean of brilliance and love washing over me away.
Up above is the crazy assortment of things that dropped on to my lap physically, all of which I love from all of you.
The top is big-brimmed pink hat (since I am a Pink Hat, as I'm far too young to be a Red Hat, by age) from my Mother. Across the center row is a bag from an RCG sister, that I get to artsy-decorate myself. Then the Vintrui, red wine aerator, from my Mother and Gordon. And The Thinkers Thesaurus from
thewinteroak.
Next layer is my Book of Curious Things and Words (from 1912, with a name signed in it) from
winding_path. The Punctuation of Divination from
thewinteroak. Then Luis Royo's Labyrinth Tarot from
neenie. The Ancient Goddesses tattoos at the bottom came from the same RCG sister. And a gorgeous hand-painted mask from Venice came from
weaverandom.
There is a wealth of cards to the side, made of music and flowers and beauty (and even Twilight amusement from the one person who always makes that something made of laughter and dear, true heartfelt beauty), and even icons from
e_mily (including above). On top of this as well, of the toys and delights unarrived, I have ordered the following from my donation and my Grandmother's Amazon Gift Card:
1 harp, 1 harp case, 3 harp music books, and the other top 4 tarot books. I think perhaps, once they all arrive I shall give you pictures of them as well. When they are real and pettable, if I can take time to write from the music then.
Thank you to everyone for the glorious birthday week I've had.
