Packages of Awesome
I have had lots of things steal my attention and balance lately and three incredibly lovely ladies in my life sent me boxes in this time. you already got to see my playfully written Victorian letter for Georgia's box. My other two lovelies should know just how much I've loved and adored their stuff as well.
I. e_mily's Box
I totally knew she had found a dark chocolate orange, which I couldn't this year, and had spoken up about getting a Taurus shirt she was getting rid of, but this box was filled with so much more. I was sitting there, wide-eyed and surprised, the whole time while pulling out any number of surprises in the little brown box that arrived.
But, also! I got colorful, fluffy scarves and this blue clay bowl (that I am going to put on my desk at work!) and a tiny hematite heart for my pendant box and a totaly, amazingly beautiful little carved seal. So much fun, playful stuff.
II. trelali's Box!
Mah Li had a bake sale, and yes, I don't eat starch except rarely. And anytime Li bake sales its up there. It’s going to take me like four months to eat it. Last year Debi & Li put together a surprise package for me.
This year I got to get my own. I bought her everything-in-kitchen amazing oatmeal bars (which must be frozen, mmmm), two tiny loaves of friendship bread in cinnamon/sugar and cherry/almond, and a bag of her brand new recipe chocolate chunk and turkey bacon cookies.
Li, and Li's food, is made of comfort. Which I blame on our writing, and our past movies, and a million topics. But her stuff was all I ate, of what miniscule little I did, during last weekend. Because it made me feel better. Kind of like getting hugged by Li. On top of getting to have a super long random surprise phone call.
