Thank you but I think I will be okay -- I still have the music, it's just that all of my playlists & the library are wiped. I guess that'll teach me to stop being OCD about playlists and actually study for exams or something...

There are several different kinds of insanity, only a sliver of which are good. I am sorry to hear that yours is not one of the good kinds. *hugs* Where have you been working that it's so insane?

I just stayed up until 6am because of major stomach pain, ouch, but read the fantasy novel of a fangirl's DREAMS while doing so, so it wasn't too bad. Ever heard of Swordspoint?

Um... There has been Stuff going on, I tracked down Breaking Dawn and finished it yesterday, and I wrote a HP drabble series (Black family, Andromeda/Ted) for a challenge last week.

Nothing terribly exciting going on with me - still trying to write a book, popping out the occasional piece of fanfic, and doing my thing on the wrong side of the world.

What what, a book? This is the first I've heard about it. Am I allowed to hear a little about it -- unless you prefer to keep it under wraps?

How is fandom doing post-seventh book these days? I have to admit I'm completely out of the loop there.

*wry smile* Well, the book is about two-thirds done and driving me up the wall, and I so want to be writing something else. But I've been reliably informed that all writers go through this with pretty much every book, so am forcing myself to stick with it for a bit.

Subject matter is, well, terribly depressing (multi-POV, one last family holiday bringing together errant twentysomething children, harassed mother and dying father. Yay?), but the general idea is to try and bring out the hope and other good stuff that's there despite the apparently desperate situation.

Fandom is still chugging along, although it's more low-key, and lots of people have moved on or gone multi-fannish.

I admire your determination -- most of us can't even forge through it with fic or short stories ...

Terribly depressing subject matter? Yay! I for one love it, & have fic-form evidence that you are one of the best out there when it comes to writing it. :D How long have you been working on this now?

Life? Hm. This past year has been many different types of interesting. Academically I totally gave up at the end of the year and found that my grades stayed mostly the same, & am thus jaded. I start my first year of university in September, and I'm just hoping it'll be completely different form high school. In terms of people & friendships everything is v. v. good: I tend to go hermit over the summer, though. Bad habit. Also I have started reading again, and it makes me feel much more like myself.
