For example, “Distress! I’m starving and wandering around St Andrews and nothing is open.”  Or: “Distress! These are not vegetables, whoever told you to cook them and call them vegetables is a horrible liar and a very bad person.”  Furthermore, “Distress!  I’m still hungry, let me back in!” Or: “Distress! the book I have to read is ( Read more... )

This sounds fantastic, btw. RUGBY?? Umm...enjoy.

You didn't think it would be all pub crawls, did you??

Please do not mess up the expensive orthodontics with a knee to the mouth in a rugby match. The Ladies Golf Society sounds nice, doesn't it???

WOuld that I were sharing your fun(except for rugby). Love,

Mum

I hate to be that damned voice of reason, but... you take the easy path around the mountains while in a foreign country so you can experience the wonder of being in a foreign country. That is very important; don't overburden yourself.

And, Rugby? Based on your fencing, I imagine some people you're going to meet are in for some considerable pain. Do Not, I repeat, DO NOT create any paraplegics or kill anyone. Do you understand?

Yay I have a new computer and now I can follow along in your adventures and leave you peppy little comments which are almost like leaving you rambling voicemail messages except not quite as much fun because I don't get to run out of breath in the middle right before I say that it sounds like you're doing well so far and I miss you and I hope you have a good week!
