I keep telling myself that if I work on this, it will make me post more. I want to post more, I really do. Buuuutttttt..... I keep. Not. No good reason, really, but I keep putting it off.

Cool meme! Have you read the Little House books as an adult? I, too, had read them several times during childhood but a few years ago, I read them as an adult and noted that different aspects of the story stood out for me in a way that did not occur when I read them as a child. In any case, I think they are enjoyable no matter your age.

I think the last time I read them was in my late teens. My mom boxed up all of my books from her house and I haven't seen them since. I should check them out from the library or see if I can get them on my Kindle. I am quite sure they will read much differently now as an adult.

I reread the Little House books last year! I re-read them a ton growing up, too. It's very interesting to read them as an adult now. Some things I find very chocking about them (like how libertarian they are; how much food is the center of the story so often; how consumerist we are now, etc)

I think about the consumerism aspect sometimes when I am shopping for a dress just because I want one when I think about how excited Laura was to get any new dresses.
