You forgot to mention that, for all the batshit crazy situations, the relationships are compelling and loving and worth cheering for (something that not always happens with tv couples and families)!

And don't go saying it's Aussie BUT is good! Being Aussie is one of the reasons WHY it is good! The story couldn't be the same if it was made anywhere else!

Heh, I have been burned by WAY TOO MANY Aussie shows that have been SHIT to ever take Aussie show = good for granted! It's kinda rare, imo! Haha! Especially of late! Although, the shows we do of this kinda genre (funny dramas? What are they called?!!) are generally pretty decent (The Secret Life Of Us, etc...). But I think you're totally right in this instance, the fact that they're Aussie totally makes the show. The family dynamic is so like my own family it's not even funny! I'm pretty sure (minus the sleeping with her boyfriend part!!!) I am Nina and my sister is Billie! In way too manys ways to be a coincidence! Haha!!!

Well, I wasn't saying all Aussie tv shows are good, but this one wouldn't work as well if it was made anywhere else. Can you picture Billie played by an American? She'd be WAY too tame! And they would have totally screwed up Mick and Nina having sex turning it into a love triangle or something XP
