Please do include the hows and whys -- plotty is wonderful. I like smutty and I love funny; kinky is optional (of course, some people would say that a threesome is automatically kinky). Fluff and angst are both fine, although total angst would just make me sad. Making sense and more-or-less canon characterization are both important.

Uh... is that sort of what you meant? I'm not sure I've really answered anything.
