Oh wow! This was something really great that, even while lowly angsty, I really loved because it was holiday in the non-traditional sense, I suppose. Alex and Meredith are one of my favorite friendships, and I REALLY wish they had more scenes like this, just the two of them. The diologue is very canon- you have both of them down pat, and also their mannerisms (especially Alex and his signature smirk). Also, nice way of incorporating the mention of the "snow" prompt with the snow of the flour. This was a lovely surprise! Thank you very much for writing it and you did a great job. :)

I'm so glad that you don't mind the 'low level' angst!! Usually my fics are set permanently to 'high level' and rorylie can tell you how much I fretted over this! Haha! It REALLY shouldn't be that hard to write something happy, I don't know what's wrong with me!

Anyway, I'm SO glad that you liked it! And yeah, the snow thing was definitely my sneaky way of incorporating your prompt!!

Alex and Mere are most definitely my favourite friendship on this show (followed closely by Mark and Callie - and I see from your icon that you probably like them too!), and I would also LOVE more scenes for them that are lighthearted and 'friend-y'... if that makes any sense...

I don't mind at all! Especially considering it's Alex and Meredith, who are somewhat angsty overall anyway.

And yeah, actually mine is close, except Mark/Callie are my favorite friendship (and non-canon ship) followed by Meredith/Alex. Haha. I really enjoy how Meredith and Alex are so close as friends that they can protect and stick up for each other almost like brother and sister. Even though I do enjoy their intense moments like in episode eight out by the car, I would like lighter fun moments to, and more cases together like the pizza scene in episode nine. :)

who are somewhat angsty overall anyway. They really are, aren't they? Even their lighter moments are tinged by their common traumas (ie. the scene in the bathroom just before Aaron arrives springs to mind...). I mean, it's funny and cute and so FREAKING awesome. But really? It's so freaking sad at the same time...

As for Mark/Callie... their friendship is also all kinds of awesome. I honestly think that those two have more chemistry in their little fingers than Callie/Arizona or Mark/Lexie will EVER have, but that's just my opinion...!!

This is lovely! I adore the (relatively) easy affection/understanding Meredith and Alex have with one another and you capture that perfectly.

I love these lines: She hides her initial panic well. He tries not to think about why she's so practiced in the art these days. That's so very Meredith and I think Alex is one of the few who easily sees through it every time.
