Damn, how I wish the bloody writers of the show would actually address character issues in this depth, instead of just mentioning them and then running away as fast as they can, focusing on trivia instead.

And I completely agree with you. The writers have SO MUCH material to work with and yet they insist on focusing on the trivial and the meaningless and using gimmicky stunts to drive ratings... I DON'T GET IT!
