Yeah, you're not the only one. I think everyone west of the Atlantic doesn't get it either. It was an invention of some crazy Europeans, according to coverage I watched here.

There's a somewhat hilarious (if you're not politically or religiously sensitive) article that pretty much sums up the standard view of doubles luge in North America.

P.s- Who is Scott James? How has 24/7 coverage in Canada not notified me of his supposed cuteness?

As for Scott James, haha... that was meant to be cuteness in a big sister, maybe even old enough to be his mother kind of way!!! Haha! He's only fifteen and he's an Aussie half pipe snowboarder. He broke his wrist yesterday in practice but still competed with a cast on today. He's the cutest little kid and so obviously gonna be a superstar when he's older and more experienced. I'll try and find a picture of him to attach...

He is adorable in the 'I-want-to-pinch-your-cheeks' way. He looks like my little ten year old cousin! Aha. But total props to him on competing today! I heard something about that, but was watching a different event.

I love the article so much. It just.... describes all my feelings about doubles luge perfectly. Incidently, doubles luge is on the tv again right now and I'm cracking up.
