Thank you! I spent the better part of my afternoon in a tumblr/youtube spiral of re-watching and remembering in order to put this together and it was GLORIOUS AND I HAVE NO REGRETS!

I'm glad you enjoyed the fruits... so to speak!

Also, I just figured out who you are! Haha... SLOW ON THE UPTAKE TODAY! Sorry for the vague initial response, I was a little, "who is this random...?"

But I'm like Katherine Pierce:

All the awards, is all I have to say. ALL. THE. AWARDS.

I love Walter and this makes my night. All the best moments, and I had no idea that Bryan wasn't expecting that punch!

Yeah, Dean Norris was pretty pleased with himself about that, haha!

If you haven't seen it and would like to, I have a 'safe' download link for the 2.5hr Making Of documentary that was exclusive to the barrel box set. It's insanely good. I cried while watching, NEGL!

That freaking cast, man! They are priceless :)

This link is to the tumblr post that contains the link to the download... I know several people (IRL and online) who've used it to good effect, including me!

I mean his full blown HORROR at the thought of his money being burned. THAT is the real Walter White

His priorities, lol.

Yep! And like, it's not even really the money per se, it's more what it represents for Walt. His success. His fortune.

His empire...

LOVE YOU FOREVER, WALTER WHITE!

Wonderful post! :D

I mean, Hank is a GENUINE THREAT to him, both here and later on, and, unlike his willingness to eventually throw Jesse under the bus, Walt can't do it with Hank. Because family. Or, more likely, Because Manufactured Justification. BUT... I dunno! I think that a lot of it for Walt was that he knew that Hank dying because of him would utterly destroy his family, he could always find some way of justifying himself when it came to other criminals getting hurt, Skyler herself tells him to take care of Jesse when she just sees him as some criminal that is threatening their family and it's less of a moral dilemma to get rid of someone like that. But bringing death to his family really would make Walt a monster in everyone's eyes and lose Skyler and Walt Junior for good. But also I think that Walt was genuinely fond of Hank and witnessing his death was devastating for him. His face when Hank gets killed :( Bryan's line delivery to Skyler later on when she accuses him of being behind Hank's death, "No, no NO. I tried to ( ... )

THISSSSS!! This is why it's hard for me to put Walt's refusal to kill Hank purely down to a calculated tactic grounded in the knowledge that it would be the end of anything he could hope to salvage with Skyler/Walt Jnr etc. The way Bryan plays those scenes (the Belize one and the one in the desert), the "HELL NO!" response from Walt is just so instinctive and definite and real...

It felt like Walt's relationship with Hank become more important then even the Walt/Jesse partnership for the final 8 episodes. YES! I like this :)

Bryan's line delivery to Skyler later on when she accuses him of being behind Hank's death, "No, no NO. I tried to save him" always just kills me too. I KNOWWW! HOLY COW. The whole of 'Ozymandias' is just one gut-punch after the other to watch!

They are some amazing moments. I still cry when I watch the scene of Walt hugging Jesse in the desert.
This was such a powerful show and I still miss it.
