I've just finished watching 'New Car Smell', the fourth episode of Homeland's second season. As in, literally minutes ago finished watching it. Not sure that now is the best time to attempt meta, but I HAVE ALL THE THOUGHTS and so... here goes!

Just finished 'New Car Smell' and I too am loving S2s BAM! BAM! AND MORE BAMMM! approach to the storytelling. I agree that they could have taken all these basic ingredients and made capturing Brody the climax of the season. It's thrilling and refreshing to have that moment of 'Woah! They are doing this NOW?! Carrie is taking Brody down NOW?! Seriously episode 4?? Woah. Okay. Awesome. Go Carrie' But then I do wonder - what the hell happens now? Obviously it's a major game changer but you've got to admire the conviction of a show prepared to shake up its own formula so early. Especially when the slow build cat and mouse formula had made their show very successful in S1. Go Homeland ( ... )

I wonder if they'll try to turn him into a double agent to catch "the head of the snake" Abu Nazier? This is exactly what I've wondered. But then, can they trust him to do this? I guess they could hang 'outing' him to his family/friends/THE WORLD over his head as 'incentive' to switch teams... And don't forget the small matter of the CIA mole, whose identity has yet to be revealed. There's still the potential for double cross after double cross to come out of this...

But then I do wonder - what the hell happens now? I wonder this too. But in a gleeful way as opposed to a worried/nervous way. Because everything they've touched has turned to gold so far and they've given me no reason not to trust them completely to tell me their story. It may not be the story I'm anticipating [in fact, I'm kinda hoping that it's NOT the story I'm anticipating!!], but it will be a thrilling and constantly surprising ride nonetheless.

Hey! *wavewave* Hope you don't mind me friending you. I'm an avid Homeland fan and OH MY GOD IT HAS ALL THE WHAMS. :P

Seriously. :)

Anyway, all I can say is that your meta is awesome and I wish I could do more like that instead of just picspamming like in my journal, heh.

PS. I totally ship Finn/Dana too.

I do not mind the friending at all! I'm not entirely sure how we weren't friends already given the BrBa connections! MAJOR OVERSIGHT!

I'm so glad you liked the meta! It seems this is all I can do at the moment, instead of fic writing so... heh!! And there is NOTHING wrong with pic-spams! They are my favourites!

Finn/Dana FTW! Only, I'm waiting eagerly to see where they take their most recent storyline because I was initially disappointed in the predictability of the trope they went with and I have my fingers crossed that they make me eat my words with how they handle the fallout!!
