[the killing] review | "in the night, the stormy night, she closed her eyes..."

So, approximately twenty two hours have passed since the clock ticked over on the final scenes from the last episode of The Killing and I’ve managed to pull my thoughts together enough to contemplate a reaction post [that is mostly general ramblings following by a whole heap of JAMIE]. Firstly though, let me just say this:

Dear Show ( Read more... )

thoughts: i have them, television: the killing, character: tk: jamie, catteo: deserves a tag

You know my thoughts. And know them well.

But really, at some point I really stopped caring about the case, not because it wasn't well done (because I think it was) but because I just wanted to watch Holder (HOLDER) and Linden and Stan and Richmond and on and on.

Also Richmond's turn to the dark side was as chilling as the murdering and so well played.

And I could geek out about the cinematography for ever because that's the kind of geek I am. But mostly, Holder.

THIS. When he closed the door on Gwen... EEK. Is it S3 yet?

Also Richmond's turn to the dark side was as chilling as the murdering and so well played. Oh, goodness! I KNOW! When Ames and Chief Jackson first walked in I was like "hang on a second..." and then when he closed the door on Gwen, MY JAW DROPPED.

Well played, show. Well played!

I WATCHED IT. I WATCHED IT I WATCHED IT I WATCHED IT.

I'm nowhere near processing it yet, but it was completely brilliant and I have so many feelings and I agree with everything you said.

I couldn't believe Jamie did it when all the evidence started pointing to him, it was heartbreaking for me because he's always been one of my favourites. So sad the way he had to go. :( Amazing acting in that scene, though. AMAZING.

ALSO, I WAS TOO SHOCKED TO CRY DURING THE CONFESSION SCENE NGL, BUT ROSIE'S VIDEO BROUGHT ALL THE FEELINGS TO THE SURFACE AND TURNED ME INTO AN EMOTIONAL WRECK.

it was heartbreaking for me because he's always been one of my favourites. I think it was the finale and the realisation of the lengths that he'd gone to and his complete and utter belief that he was doing the right thing that made me LOVE HIM AS A CHARACTER ALL THE MORE!!

GAAAAH! I still can't fully process my ~feelings regarding the other characters because my head is full OF ALL THINGS JAMIE!! [and some things Rosie!]

It's his unshakeable loyalty to Richmond that gets to me.

Ugh everything you said about Jamie. You totally know how I feel about him so I've been kind of mum on this whole thing thus far. I think I'm still processing. But my mind is never far away.

Poor Rosie and her butterflies. :( POOR JAMIE. POOR EVERYBODY.

(And omg Gwen. Get your shit, and run.)

Poor Rosie and her butterflies. :( POOR JAMIE. POOR EVERYBODY. I KNOW!!! MY OVERWHELMING REACTION WAS ~POOR [INSERT CHARACTER HERE!]

And yes, Gwen!! I was saying above that when Ames and Nicole walked in I was initially all, "hang on a second..." and then, when Richmond shut the door on Gwen my jaw legit. dropped. SUCH A GOOD MOVE TO FINISH!!!

And, if you're still in the icon making mood for this show, I totally request some Jamie and some Rosie ones!! I may even try to make some myself, THAT'S how desperate I am! Haha!
