BDO was great in some ways - hardly anyone there and so you basically had front row standing for ALL the bands. Of whom Gin Wigmore, Midnight Youth and Foster the People were AWESOME. I have seriously had Foster the People on repeat for 2 days. It would have been more awesome if the Jezabels had come but they seem to be avoiding me. I SHALL HAVE TO STALK THEM ELSEWHERE!

BREAKING BAD. I'm about halfway through S2 and oh, man, it's SO GOOD that it can be hard to watch? But it is incredible.
Walt is an amazing character. I love it, how this guy who's worked so hard not to make any kind of waves just completely embraces hopping off the rails when he gets the chance to tell himself he doesn't have anything to lose. I hardly ever like him, but I think he's fascinating.
The portrait it paints of the New Mexico drug scene is not pretty. It has not been glamorised. It’s dirty. It’s raw. It’s sad (eg: peekaboo. You’ll know what I mean when you see it). It’s violent. It’s desperate. It’s horrifying. It’s REAL.
Oh, man, I am so impressed with the show for this. I've also watched the first few seasons of Weeds, but especially at the beginning, it's essentially a dark comedy that can afford to just point at the stupidity of marijuana criminalization. Meth, though, is something totally different, and I'm consistently impressed with the way the show can point out that the crystal problem is kind of a result of

I know exactly what you mean about it being so good it can be hard to watch. I think it's really because it's not afraid to tell it how it is. It doesn't pull punches.
