I'm not sure.
But I think that our dear black cat Finney has gone off to die.
Somehow, I know it. After letting him out I haven't seen him all day.

Edit:
I just saw him. It's soon.

We can either vet him to death, or let him go...
He's had a great life.

cats, finney

I would say let him go, My CAt lived to the ripe old age of 20, then his hair started falling out in clumps and he stopped eating, and yowled terribly and then one day my mom found him sleeping peacfully under a tree outside and he never got up. sometimes..animals just know..How old is he?

Oh Jodi - I totally understand. Finney is only about 10. He was a handful-sized teensy black abandonded freaked-out furball when I found him under my manager's car. He's had that stray-cat-I-can't-get-enough-food freakiness to the point where a few years ago we made the educated decision that he would rather be fat and happy than svelte and pissy.

Tuna is a good idea.

For Finney food=love.

His whole name is "Infinity"

He's also a rather large framed cat - so he's large, and also quite fat. I know the big ones don't live as long, usually. Indy was only 14 when he went off to die - but he too was a LARGE (yet not really fat) cat, too.

I just went out back to bring him some food and he got down out of his nest in the outside cat condo - prolly to go off and piss again...

Oh, Sarah - I'm so sorry. Is Snowball by any chance white? Finney is all black. How old...?

***hugs Sarah***

Awww, maybe if he has a favorite blanket or pillow or toy, you can lay it near him until he goes.

I'm sorry to read this...it's always so sad to let a fur-fellow go.

I've just spent some time reading about some veterinary advice what-ifs...

sigh. I don't want to do that to him.

I am so sorry to hear your kitty is ailing. It's hard to let them go sometimes....
