Illustrating this story has been an absolute joy. giselleslash was an artist's dream come true because she gave me so much inspiration and time to draw, and she made it all fun with her own brand of cheerleading.  I'll miss working with her.  So thank you Giselle! Thank yous are also extended to briar_pipe for cheerleading me on, thecheekydragon for last minute links checks, the_muppet for her ( Read more... )

I was going to read the fic and comment then having the background, but I'm too excited about this to wait.

Oh, I already knew I would love your art, but this is just amazing and so much more!
I can only say again every time that all your practice at drawing hands really paid of! Brilliant! And I still love how you manage to catch the light just right. Can I fangirl you a little now? Be proud of yourself! I certainly am! :D

I'm utterly in love with Arthur's feet in that first one and his expression! It's so real it makes me want to hug him.

The composition of the park picture is great! Draws you right in to what is the focus.

And those last three! Stunning! ♥
Merlin at the window is just so pretty! *___* And I'm totally caught on the curve of Arthur's hip in the last one. And the folds of the sheets!

Er, okay, I'll stop myself here, else it will just be listing things I like. Can't wait to read the story now to get the whole story behind these glimpses.

Thank you girly, special thanks because you know the work that goes into this stuff. Yes, a lot of time and work on hands which is why it kills me you improve with leaps and bounds in days and it takes me forever. Oh well, that just means I demand expect more great things from you in the future ~pressure placed~.

What? You're mad! Through the whole BB process I was thinking how I shouldn't have let all the things I learned in art class at school go to waste. And I'm still so bad at all the technical stuff and completely unable to do anything that could be considered a clean line.

And honestly? I'm so envious of your discipline and you've developed so much from when I friended you! You were good then, but you seem so much more secure now or maybe it's rather that you've developed a certain style.

Thank you though! And in fact, I can't wait to have more time again to do more drawing.

Right, I'll keep staring at the naked ones because dude, love the dipping lines down their bodies, the hint of boxer/briefs waistline on Merlin, the arms, torsos, everything. Hot. Seriuosly hot. Really nice body detail work there that I want to kind of sink into (and uh fuck :P). Awesome stuff.

While I drag at my other nonslash work, I like doing dips and curves of adult men. The pencil is the only way I can get my hands on my version of their idealized bodies. Thanks King!

Thanks Oh Maker of Chaos. I so often want to get into other people's brains and thought processes so I am hoping to start a trend.

Lately showing references has become important to me as I look more and more and other people's work on dA.

That just made me LOL ;) I should change my name...

I really do hope you start a new trend because this is so interesting and I wish more people would let us see the progress :)

I often wonder if people just have a picture in their head or if they look for inspiring pictures first :)

Oh, sweetie! Oh!!! These are SO GOOD! I love each of them for different reasons. The cover art for what is says about the story (which I CANNOT wait to read!)

Where? is beautiful. and heartwrenching
Their park - probably my fav. ♥ beautifully done.
And the next three are so sensual, capturing wonderful emotion and passion.

AMAZING JOB, MICE!!!

Thanks Maggie.

I find it funny that so many people liked the Their Park one since I almost didn't include it. I felt it was too digitally manipulated. I need to shake off these traditional roots/ideas.

Fantastic!

Your detailing, always so impressive, remains as ever intense in these pieces too.

Although the impressionistic piece, the park bench... totally love it too.

Thanks for sharing.
