I recently came across the basketball-analysis site hoopism.com [1] Even though I love the site, the article that prompted me to blather was something I think is if at least not just wrong, completely missing the point. To add to that, I'm not even sure how much the size of your market, by itself, has to do with your endorsement potential. How good you and your team are, style of play and force of personality all seem more significant. I mean, Kevin Durant lives in Oklahoma City, and he's rolling in endorsements. LeBron James had more endorsements than anyone else in the league while playing in Cleveland, for God's sake.
