Just as a side note, Dikshit actually means something along the lines of "religious scholar in the family lineage" in Sanskrit.

Funny that the station kept posting subtitled tidbits of the interview which appeared onscreen every few seconds...just in case the Indian accents were too incomprehensible for its primarily Indian audience.

The New York Times, at least, is doing something about this problem - they've taken to transliterating Sheila's surname as Dixit.
(seen in a recent story about child labor being used to prepare for the Commonwealth Games)
