I still hate the word "blog", but not nearly as much as I hate the word "machinima".

And as much as we need it, we seem unable to compress "YouTube video" into "vid", likely due to science fiction overuse.

Amazing. I wouldn't have thought of it, but that is exactly why I don't use 'vid' as an abbreviated word. It sounds too much like 80s cyberpunk argot. I feel like I should be wearing big hair and a blinding neon spatterpaint jacket.
