It’s possible that my previous post may have left some of you thinking I’m opposed to government, but I’m not. Governments exist to do things that individual people and smaller organizations do not have the will or ability to achieve on their own. I don’t envy politicians for the dirty work they do. I have to say, I was one of the people who thought your last post was a bit anti-government. I infer from your posts that, while you may be for government in some areas, in health care you aren't.

Personally, my biggest problem with the argument that government isn’t the answer to our health care problems is that the only other alternative, private industry, has failed to be the answer either (and failed miserably).

So, if government isn’t the answer and private industry isn’t the answer, then what is?

"Communities will be better off when basic medical needs are met and real communicable diseases are monitored and treated at speeds only the internet can provide." assumes government programs, but it doesn't mean “No one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick.”

My issue was with hue and cry for universal coverage and the inferred comprehensive government program as the solution for all the worlds problems.
