Dollhouse - Maybe I was wrong.

When I heard that the latest Joss Whedon project, Dollhouse, was being cut off all I could think was:

"Thank God, now I don't have to watch that anymore."

Years ago when I first heard Dave Platnick use a similar phrase in relation to some SciFi hospital show, I thought:

"Dave, you are a freakn' moron. You have control over your TV,  just shut it ( Read more... )

That's good to hear. I had lost track of the whole discussion when I found out it was unlikely to be continued, but then it turned good so I'm glad it goes on.

It seems that the continued strength of Firefly (and DVD sales plus the Serentity movie) have helped Dollhouse. Fox, apparently, took Whedon's post-cancellation strength and popularity of Firefly into consideration when deciding Dollhouse's fate and decided it was worth continuing to support it (for now atleast) to see where it goes..
The decision shocked a lot of TV insiders as the ratings have been, as someone said, pretty disasterous.
