Personal QuestingI’ve often thought it might be cool to have specialty character slots, complete an epic adventure or max out your PC and a new character slot would open up. (I think the Star Wars game had that with Jedi ( Read more... )

Well - I'm still hanging out on Bronzebeard .. if you're looking to quest with people, I'd be willing to start up a new character to play with ya. :) I prefer questing with people I "know" than random acts of pick-up-groups .. and the people in my guild are, on average, 20 lvls above me, so it's not easy finding people to run around with during the limited amount of time I have to play.

At this point one of the bozos that convinced me to play (this time) is not even playing WoW anymore, in fact I never once saw him in game except when I browbeat him to sending me gold because he was not playing anymore.

Hey! I know that guy! :-P And I refuse to let you make me feel guilty. :-)

There's several problems with WoW's levelling system, particularly when it comes to playing with friends who are trying to catch up:
1. lack of sidekicking feature
2. lack of inter-level grouping. In the span of 60 levels, groups are only really effective at a narrow level range. Couple that with:
3. fast grouping before 60
and you'll get it where people shoot past each other and can't effectively group.

Then, there's 60. At 60 your options become extremely limited, mostly to "raid for loot". And that's what killed me. I got tired of the damn end game.

The game is more of a grind at 60 then it was from 1-59.
