augh okay so I already gushed about this but I just wanted to re-gush (ew?). basically I love how your BDSM fics aren't just hot porn, they're hot thought porn too. it's so easy to just like... let loose with hot porn and don't get me wrong that's awesome too, but your fics are so intensely in-character. we've talked about this, but it's tricky in BDSM fic - because they're both so inherently subby I feel, but they've also both had experiences that would make BDSM and D/s really unpleasant if not outright triggering. and you work through those issues so well, and it's unflinching but it also ends happy so bravo :3

and I laughed out loud at Sam discovering bondage stuff on his computer, omg. Sam being totally supportive and accidentally finding out like WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION about Dean and Castiel is about my favorite thing ever. :D

Thank you thank you thank you! You're too kind. This one got kind of weird, because I wanted to write Cas as a sense-freak but he also came out kind of dommy? Like even when Dean is tying him up he's really directing the action and even I'm not sure if he's being a bossy sub or if he's domming from the bottom. XD That's part of the fun of writing kink fic though.

Ahaha I thought of that scene with Sam when the fic was still mostly in planning and I was SO HAPPY when I finally got to the part where I could write it. Supportive-but-disgruntled Sam is also my favorite.

I think you can read Cas as either way in this fic. As someone who believes pretty strictly in sub!Cas, I didn't find him OOC or anything at all. (Though I see dommy aspects in here too, and I think if dom!eitheroneofthem was written like this more often I could be more into it.)

I love how you wrote not only the porn but the thought process, love, intimacy & trust that it takes to be in a bondage relationship. I like the conflict in Dean & the way he compartmentalizes the bad stuff from Hell with the love & trust he has for Cas. Great job with this fic.

Thanks, that part was really important to me. Even if they fuck up sometimes, my favorite part of writing Dean/Cas is how deeply they love and want to protect each other. (And yes, lol Sam. I'm so mean to him.)

So one of my absolute favourite favourite things is BDSM fic that still reads as totally in character, and thus basically this fic has given me ALL THE FEELS. Because of course Cas wants the pain because it's a sensation and not just because it's pain, and of course he can heal it any time he chooses but keeps it because he savours it, and of fucking course Dean would rather go along with something that makes him uncomfortable than acknowledge that Hell maybe did a number on him he can't just gloss over

Haha, I also prefer SSC happy fun times (this fic was originally supposed to be 2K words about the fact that Dean and Cas like different styles of bondage), but these boys are so incredibly damaged and sometimes I can't keep that from coming out in my fic. But as long as the ending is happy and I can get across how much they genuinely care about each other, I'm good.
