Jos can see the fall snow through the frost-dulled windows, hears the high winds of the mountain howling around the house. you might want to put "can hear" to continue the verb tense throughout the sentence
also, you tend to write in long sentences. While the breathless effect complements the story, a few more commas wouldn't hurt.
Thank you! I totally didn't even notice that. May I have the excuse that I frequently write these damn things at bumfuck o'clock in the morning and my grammar suffers for not being awake? Also, I don't take them as seriously as I should, as evidenced by the lolcat.
I do. I can't seem to help it. While it fits the Warchild style, sometimes it drives even ME crazy. Trying to work on that. As for the commas, see above. Bleh. I promise I'll do better next time.
