Today we'll be making this:

As seen in my previous post of pictures, however, this will just be for the coloring, you can decorate it as you please.

Start with your origianl picture. Sharpen it once, and then go over all the skin (except the lips) with your smudge tool (I know, I'm breaking one of my own rules, but this isn't going to get out of hand) set on 22%. Duplicate it and set it to Soft Light.

So now this is what we're left with. Now for a little bit of makeup. Using F7A691 on a new layer brush over the lips and set the layer to Color Burn 70%. On another new layer use B4DCD3 and brush over the eyelids. Now using your Gaussian Blur (Filter>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur) and set it to 2.9 pixels. Set this layer to Color Burn 70% as well. Now for this particular coloring, you want the subject of your picture to be kind of light. And depending on the skin tone of your subject, you'll have to adjust this step. But I used FFEFDD and brushed all over the skin with a big soft brush and set the layer to Soft Light erase sections that have bled over onto areas that aren't skin. And also, I painted over the eyebrows in BCE1EA and set that layer to Hue

Ta-Da! Now for the Coloring aspect of this tutorial, this particular kind of coloring looks best when you've got lots of blue in your base. Just as a rule of thumb. In a new layer, flood fill it with B2E5F6 and set it to Color Burn

Another new layer. Flood fill with F6DDB2 and set to Multiply 60%. If you want it darker or lighter, you can adjust this, but I find that 60% seems to work pretty well.

Yet another new layer! Flood fill with 01111A and set it to Exclusion 60%. Actually set this layer to the same % vaule that you set your brown multiply layer, whatever that may be.

Now for what might be kind of tricky. Open a new canvas that's 4x4 and with your pencil tool, 1plx, in black zoom into the canvas as far as you can, and draw a diagonal line across it, like this:

Then, go to Edit >> Define Pattern, and name it whatever you want to call it. Then you can find it here:

On a new layer flood will with your new pattern, set it to Soft Light 40% and you have your coloring! You can decorate it as you please!
