Drama Recs?

Dec 12, 2010 16:56

I've only watching six Asian dramas right now: Gloria, Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso, Dae Mul, Guilty, Q10, and Mary Stayed Out All Night aka Marry Me, Mary!. Normally, that would be enough to keep me busy, but Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso, Dae Mul and Q10's subtitles are coming slowly. While Gloria and Mary are getting very angsty. ( Read more... )

Nagareboshi~ It's really sweet and there's just something nostalgic about it. Takenouchi Yutaka and Ueto Aya are soooo beautiful in it. I highly recommend it!

I remember you saying you're not a fan of Toda Erika, but I have to mention SPEC again. XD; Just one episode left and it's CRAZY but brilliant. Unfortunately it seems they're behind on subs though :<

I've been meaning t to say, I love your LOST mood theme by the way!

I've heard very good things about Nagareboshi. But, isn't it kind of sad? I have enough angst right now.

I don't like Toda Erika. She really is the only thing keeping me from watching SPEC. I may try the first episode, though.

Thanks. I loved LOST. Especially Claire/Charlie.

Ummm it does have its sad moments but I wouldn't label it a tragedy. So far it's going more along the lines of "hope for the future," that is, as long as they don't drop the bomb in the final episode. XD Since it's almost over I can let you know if the final episode is any good or not before you invest time in watching it if you like~ :D

Lost was so awesome. I miss it ;_;

Let me know how it ends, and if everyone gets a happy ending: I'll watch it. I don't want to start something, only for it to end in a "rock falls, everybody dies" kind of way.

I want another show like LOST, but I'm sure that won't happen for a few years.

I couldn't even finish Tsuki no koibito ,or Sunao ni Narenakute. They left such small impressions that I forgot I started and dropped them. With Tsuki - the spent over half the show building up one OTP, only to drop it and form another during the last three episodes. With no time jump. No,nothing. I didn't get that. With Sunao ni Narenakute, it was like Last Friends all over again - only worse. I was very disappointed as that was written by one of my favorite writers.

I really liked Natsu no Koi wa Niji-iro ni Kagayaku. I forgot it aired last season. It was a bit too slow, but it was good.

Be warned: PP was slow at first and a lot of the characters were horrible (Ok, just the secondary girl. He's just not into you!) But, it's all worth it for the OTP.

Recently, I've gotten into Ogon no Buta -episodic, but the banter and chemistry between characters is good :)

I'd also recommend Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite, which is short but sweet. Future guy goes back 10 years and tries to break his past relationship up, because his wife ends up unhappy, but as love stories go, things don't go as planned :)

If you're willing to watch it streaming, it's on DramaCrazy. I'm not sure where to get it anywhere else ^^

I'm not a huge fan of streaming, but if there is no other way, I'll give it a go.

Its Okay, Daddy's Girl has one of those long family drama feels to it but its a short 16 ep kdrama. Its airing right now and I like it a lot. I wish it got more love.

Wow, I sometimes can barely manage real life because it constantly interrupts drama watching! Congrats to you though for pulling it off!

I've heard very mixed things on Daddy's Girl - why are you enjoying it? I watched the first two episodes, and wasn't impressed. Was there something I missed? The storyline sounds like something I'd like, but I'm conflicted.

Thanks!

Right now I think it has promise, and I've been on a family drama kick so I really liked it. I also think the father daughter relationship is cute. I'll see how things go for a couple more episodes to make a full decision on the drama.
