I thought at the beginning of the fic, that 'literature-fiction' wouldn't be so different from 'song-fic' which I don't care for; but this? This is elegant, quietly intensive and poignant.

I cannot remember the last time I read something that gave me this kind of reaction. A literally out loud "what the hell?" I had to comment before getting to part 2, because this part was amazing! Your characterizations of all 3 are spot on. Your Jack is perfectly wounded but still Jack. And Ianto, poor dear sweet Ianto. Born into the wrong time, drawn to the past, lost in the archives. As a museum person, I feel an affinity to him. You really captured the archivists drive well.
