Then it's Vanessa's turn. "Are you sure, Jamie?"

"Yup," Jamie says lightly. "You'll never believe this, Vanessa. I'm your great-great-uncle."

"Good lord!" Vanessa says, comprehending almost at once. "Then you won't go home with Adam."

(Not 'home with me and Adam'. She's got other plans.)

Now that he can go home- Joris cannot wait to show it off to his friend.
