There was drama over that story? When I don't like fic, I make use of that handly little X on the top right of my screen an move on. Some fandom dynamics will baffle me to the end of my days.

oh good lord was there ever drama. it was the first story to go under the knife at thecuttingboard, and people ripped into it, prompting the millionth iteration of the "is constructive criticism possible? / is criticism different because we are a community of fans rather than professional writers? / is this all just a way to snipe at the stories and authors you don't like under the aegis of objective literary review?" kerfuffle. it's kinda fun to watch fandom implode at regular intervals, though i heartily second your close-the-window-and-move-on approach. (and personally i adored the story, so there you go.)
