I think people forget that there's a different motivation between doing fanart and doing original art. Original is fun, but you have to have a desire to create and analyze, fanart you just have to have a love for a character and can go from there lol. I find each has it's own pros and cons but they're differently motivated for sure.
In other words, do what you like! For every person who wants original I'm sure there's one that wants fanart and vice versa! *hugs*

Honestly, no matter what you draw more-- whether it be Bleach fanart or original work; You will always have comments requesting you to do this, or to do that.

An artist doesn't need a boss telling him what to draw and when to draw it. An artist feels what they want to draw, and then draw it.
So-- If you feel like drawing Bleach fanart, draw Bleach fanart. If you feel like drawing original stuff, draw your original stuff. And if you feel like drawing monkeys that look like celebrities who eat chocolate dogs-- THEN I think you need to question whether what you're drawing is sane.
