Let me take a direct quote from this, "Everybody is focused on their relationship with God, its selfish almost." Everybody focusing on their own relationship with God is the ideal worship service. Focusing on a relationship with God and seeking after him is want he wants us to do and is a form of worship itself. Regarding the music, I was under the impression that its not about the music. Why does the style of music matter if it has the same meaning? I'd rather play my 'easy' music (Days of Elijah) and have everyone understand it instead of a hymn (Come thy Fount of Every Blessing) that few might understand. Maybe you want to call that dumbing it up or whatever, it doesn't matter. If my catchy tunes get one more person saved than hymns, I'll take the one soul and the catchy tunes and hooks. What I'm saying is that if words of modern contemporary christian music blesses more people than older sacred music, we should play modern music. Even some of the best written sacred music puts a focus on individuals relationship with God ( ... )
