Started swaying with the hand
Sudden motion made me skip
Now we're into a brand new trip" o/`

I glanced up at the clock with its rustically painted rooster face and wanted to punch it. Two minutes until ten. I'd wait one more minute and then....

Was this before MIB 3 & 4?

This was the incident which led to the placement of MIB 3 and 4. The two they initially sent out had never been out of the Jacksonville office, had never been out of the city. They had no idea how to handle rural living or how to treat people respectfully.

MIB 3 and 4 are almost like family now. They are respectful, dress discreetly to blend in, and they knock before entering.

Are the two in this incident the two you took the broom to?

I'd like to buy MIB 3 & 4 a drink for looking after my friends. Non-alcoholic, of course.

Yup! That's the full extent of the incident. Neither of them left --- technically they couldn't until someone else could get out here --- and the next morning was when I found them harassing the mailman.

MIB3 and 4 are solid agents. I keep a small fridge in the back stocked with cold drinks and sandwich fixings just for them because they won't usually come in the house, not even to eat.

Another exciting story with these familiar characters. Good job for turning it out!

It almost didn't happen. I got a cellulitis in one of my legs which, besides being painful, causes a fever high enough that I discuss some rather unfortunate subjects freely with people present. That it's coherent enough to read is a small miracle.

Thanks for stopping to read and comment, it's appreciated.

*giggle*

If THIS is barely made coherent I almost fear what you will write when you truly are well.

(OMG, by the way. Didn't know cellulitis could be this bad.)

I'm 'special'. The stuff I take for the psoriasis is a chemotherapy drug, which puts part of my immune system to sleep. If I happen to get an infection while on it, it blows up to the worst proportions. Additionally, I have a largely nonfunctional metabolic system so my body temperature is by nature lower than normal. So while 102 would be uncomfortable to someone else, for me it's rather dangerous and causes me to discuss such untoward topics as whether or not dogs need something to cover up their buttholes...while at the dinner table.

And it's purely unfortunate that at my house that actually STARTS a discussion. We need a sign outside the house which reads "Leave maturity here"

You really do live an exciting life! The alligator part was quite amusing. Maybe sometimes it can be a little too exciting, though. At least those two agents learned their lesson and reformed.

Both of them are creative when it comes to offensive or off color descriptions. I end up asking one or the other --- or sometimes a sibling or other relative --- what was said as I don't speak Cajun French and it doesn't share enough roots with the standard Romance languages for me to parse it.

I could sometimes wish for a less exciting life but at least things are moving into a routine. I don't know if the other two agents actually learned anything, but they weren't allowed to return to the detail. The two I refer to as MIB 3 and 4 have been with us ever since and they've been terrific. They even dressed down when I explained the need.
