On the one hand I'm very glad to see him back in the competition as I enjoyed his work. On the other I hate that you have all these medical conditions and they're taking such a toll on you. *hugs*
I really wish there was more I could do to help.
Do you think he'd mind if I friended him? I understand if he'd prefer I didn't though.
I don't think he'd mind. He's a very private man, though, and may not friend back. Usually he takes the time to make sure that said person isn't a nutcase and then will friend back when he's comfortable.
He'll probably kill me --- he's the shiest, most privacy oriented man I've ever known --- but go ahead. He really does write well and he doesn't bite...much.
Some days are better than others. I usually start out strong and then fade off as the evening wears. Some days I have almost no pain and enough energy to go do things. I try to avoid thinking in terms of 'over' as it's self defeating, but some days it's damned hard not to do so.
I write when I can, as often as I can, too. It's been my trade, even though I don't have much to show for it. I was going to school too. Florida invalidated my teaching credentials and forced me to start over. I'm one class and three credits short of my Associate's which would allow me to go on to a university of my choice here and regain the degree.
Life isn't always fair, but I've been dealt a better hand than some. I have several loving partners, a few good friends, a roof over my head, enough food to eat, sufficient medical care to make my life somewhat easier, and people who love me.
Good. He'll need the help, he's not immune this upcoming week. Do be careful with multiple journals though. Gary gets pissy about that. You might want to contact the community owner to see whether it's okay or not for multiple systems to vote that way. I don't know.
Thank you for that. I appreciate it. He's an accomplished writer, but most of his pieces have been scholastic works which take months, not days, to formulate. English isn't even his first language either.

I am content with that.
