It's one of those odd things about being a metaphysical healer. The Wicca have a saying that you must hurt in order to heal, that you must suffer for your art. For me, that had certainly been true and I didn't know any others in my profession who had escaped with their health intact. Somehow I always found the energy and resources to do what needed done and I never minded the cause.
