One that won't spill
One that don't cost too much

I want a new drug
One that won't go away
One that won't keep me up all night
One that won't make me sleep all day" o/`

Well, it may have cost an arm and a leg plus our firstborn and Freyja's, but the Enbrel does seem to be worth it. I feel pretty good most days! Now if they could just figure out why my legs still don't work....

I can't imagine how you cope with chronic pain the way you do. I'm not surprised that you were tempted to end it but I'm glad that you didn't.

Compared to how I used to feel, whatever pain there might be is a trifle. In fact, I've had chronic pain so long I can't even really tell if I have pain now. For all I know it's still at levels which would cripple someone else but I feel pretty good.

I'm very glad he woke up when he did. I knew, somewhere deep inside, that I couldn't have pulled the trigger (it was not for lack of wanting, it was a physical impossibility) but I'd have still tried...and that would have left him with a more serious problem than a wife in pain.

My physician is an upstanding man and willing to do whatever it takes to get the patient as well and as comfortable as possible. Some of his nurses are good, others not. One receptionist in particular needs either a severe talking to or needs fired. She's of the opinion that I'm simply too fat and that if I'd make the effort to walk, I could. I wish that was the case ( ... )

I was beginning to worry about you and it is good to see an entry from you. If I had not heard from you by the end of today I was going to send a private message to see if you were doing ok. I'm glad the meds are helping!

No, I'm just pretty busy right now. We're trying to get the house clean and in order before Dorie visits again, one of the dogs has allergies and needed a sudden shave and bath, and Fox isn't feeling real great.

I'll get back to my journal as I have time. Right now I'm kind of chasing my own tail and hoping to catch up.

I'm grateful t have found a workable solution. While it bothers me that the medications are so many and so expensive, I'm just glad to have found a balance. The quality of life issue is a big one and mine has grown by leaps and bounds since they got the drug combinations right.
