Giddy, hell...I'm still trying to figure out what goes where with which. Someday I'll make a post about it, just not right now. There are too many other factors involved. You know all about complications so I'm sure you understand.

unfortunately yes.. situations like that require HUGE amounts of work (and most fail) but they can also be the most rewarding when all is said and done.

Any time you want to chat, vent, whatever just hit me up on email.

Finally got the swelling down on my ankle so I'm tentatively planning on making the trip next saturday (not this one, the one after). Still annoyed that I couldn't get around much Sunday even to do laundry.

Thanks, glad you liked it. It's obviously part of a much larger story but I write the pieces as they come instead of possibly losing them.

Oh yeah, and I enjoyed the vernacular! I'm reading a book that takes place down there now, and they sound similar. Fun story.

I owe the accuracy of the vernacular to Dorie, who is Cajun and who actually works in public housing so she's familiar with their attitudes and emotions. Sadly, what Slim said is true. Talk about your scapegoats!

When writing fiction, I love your sensitivity to character consistency and your ability to bring the whole world to life. It's very nice. Amazing work. : )

Thank you :D I"m glad you like it. Porter and Harris are part of a much larger world so I was worried they wouldn't stand on their own. I'm glad they did.
