*dies laughing* Someday we'll go camping together, but first I think you need some camo-print underwear. You know, so if it gets snagged in a tree, it's not so obvious.

You wouldn't be the first to suggest that. Now you know why I insist that any campground have at least an outhouse. I HATE digging those trenches.

LOLOLOL!!!

What is it about Girl Scout camping expeditions?

There was the time I thought I was being attacked by someone. I woke up to find that I'd nearly mummified myself in my mosquito netting.

Or the time I truly believed that there were bears just beyond the fire pit -- therefore, I couldn't relieve myself and ended up wetting my pants.

However, I never hiked the Arches. But I did have the hiking badge!

I think it's that teen age mentality. I don't know why we had to tell ghost stories, talk about bodies, and pretend the ketchup was blood...but it seems to be standard fare for a Girl Scout camping trip.

I love this -- I felt like I was THERE. You really do write lovely word-art! :)

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment! It's one of my most vivid memories because the trip was just so surreal.

Ah the comedy that is camping.

I remember it well. I think we all have one of these sorts of stories to tell over the campfire.

I thought yours was very good.

Thanks! Yeah, you never quite know what will happen on a camping trip. I still love camping but now I insist that anywhere we go have at least an outhouse. I don't have enough underwear to leave a token at every campsite!

lol. That is totally funny. At least the rafters didn't know who the underwear belonged to.

Oh, they knew because we were all clustered around them still trying to get them down...and I was the biggest one there. Whenever we go camping, my family just has to ask me where my underwear is every morning.
