Grooooooooooss! Very glad you're okay. I have no idea what I'd do in a situation like that. Probably curl up in a very warm place and call in to work every day until it went away. (Actually, if we ever had weather like that here, I'm pretty sure the entire state would just close.)
I mean, if it happened in South Texas where I work (which is about as unlikely as you getting it) I would also have to call in, because I live so far out in the country. But I lived a block away from work at my old store, so I could always get to work, sadly and unfortunately. I would, in fact, have to go get the assholes who didn't feel like scraping the muck off their cars. Store taxi service, that's me.
