No, yeah. It totally didn't ring true with the bully. Haha, I am biased as well. :D
And you're right, he does have plenty of reason to be unhappy. I mostly just wanted to talk about buying Sammy a house with a puppy, if you want the truth. :p I think also the juxtaposition of baby!Sam not wanting to be a "mechanic" and wanting something different and better for himself and then coming back to talk to the teacher that sparked that desire in him, it made me sad for grown up Sam. Because I want grown up Sam to want this life with his brother, or at least to have his brother in his life at all. And that wasn't as big a deal to baby!Sam.

I don't think... well, again, we're kind of going from my personal canon here, because the show hasn't told us a lot either way. But I think baby!Sam just couldn't really conceive of ever not having Dean, you know? It wasn't a factor in his planning because it was inconceivable that he wouldn't always have Dean, and I think over the next few years, the realization that he couldn't really have both, that the choice was between his family and a normal life, would have been the hardest thing for him. I also firmly believe Sam did some self-justifying "But this will be GOOD for Dean! He won't have to come between Dad and me anymore! And a few years of distance could be a good thing!" blah blah blah, because I can't imagine he'd have been able to make himself leave otherwise
( ... )
Well, I'm absolutely all for your personal canon. I haven't done quite as much thinking about the pre-series Winchesters as you have, but I'm happy you've done so, because I'll just adopt yours. :) I like it way better than where I was going anyway.
And no, I do not see Sam now not being attached to Dean at the hip for the rest of his freaking life, however long that ends up being.
PUPPY! HOUSE! WHITE PICKET FENCE! It needs to happen!
Right? I was just trying to tell a friend about it who fell asleep last night instead of watching. She asked "was it good?" and I pretty much screamed "SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMYYYYYYYY" into the phone. Heh.
