Outside of contact with Ted Brautigan? Not off the top of my head. Not people who had a paranormal baseline that then escalated because of outside factor. People who had powers initiated in them, yes, like in Tommyknockers or, well, your parents. And people who are still discovering the depths of their powers as things go on, like Carrie White. But not like you're suggesting.
