"Allieeee!"

You hear her about 5 seconds before she tackle-hugs you.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sooooo excited for youuu!" She clings to you for a moment before pulling back and smiling brightly.

"Thanks, Mish," you say, returning the smile. "I'm gonna kick things if you aren't a wildcard, though."

She laughs a little, "Wildcard would be nice, yeah. Guess we'll have to wait to find out, though, right?"

Honestly, you're surprised at how well she's taking getting cut. You were worried that she'd be a mess, but you're glad she's proving you wrong. She steps away to congratulate Adam and Kris and you find yourself getting distracted by the people congratulating you as well as the contestants you're helping to console.

You're back at the apartments, in the room you share, before you're really able to talk again. Too bad you're finding it so hard to make conversation as you help her pack. It's not your fault, though. You're just not one to talk when you're upset, and she's leaving you in the morning - that's definitely reason to be upset.

You look up when you hear a soft knock on the door and see her mother standing in the doorway.

"Mind giving us a minute?", she asks politely and you standing, giving the other girl a quick smile before stepping out into the hall, venturing down to Adam's room for a few minutes. When you see her mother walk past the door (Adam had decided to just leave it opened, people seemed to be in and out of the room all night) you excuse yourself, returning to your room where you find your roommate sitting on her bed, face hidden against her knees as she cries quietly.

You close the door behind you, and quickly cross the room, sitting lightly next to her and putting your arm around her shoulder.

"Mish, honey, what's wrong?", you ask, concerned and she leans gently against you.

"She hates me," she mumbles softly, "For not going through. She hates me."

You gently stroke her hair and looks down at her sadly. "That's not true. No one could hate you."

"She does. She has since I was cut last year.."

"I'm sure she doesn't. She's just disappointed, I guess." You hug her a little tighter, "No mother could hate their kid over something so trivial."

You hold her close, comforting her until her tears stop falling and her sobs subside. And then you hold her for a while longer until you hear her breathing slow and even out. You smile maybe a little too fondly at her as you ease her down onto her mattress, and when you go to stand up, you feel her hand clasp lightly around her wrist.

"Don't go," she says softly and you willingly agree to stay with her after quickly crossing the room to turn the light off. You crawl into bed next to her, pulling the covers over both of your bodies, and sigh happily as she snuggles against you. You fall asleep holding her in your arms.

In the morning, you wake up first, but, not wanting to wake the other girl, you remain in bed until she wakes up. You can't help but notice how the sunlight falls across her face, or how it seems to draw her beauty out even more. You gently push a few strands of hair away from her face as she sleeps, smiling to yourself.

She stirs slightly, opening her eyes, and you smile at her. "Good morning, Sunshine," you greet softly and she smiles sleepily.

"Morning, Allie." You finally pull apart, breaking your embrace, and she sits up, looking around with a soft sigh. "I'm gonna miss it here," she says softly.

"You'll be back," you insist gently and she gives you a small smile.

"Maybe."

You sit on her bed, watching as she finishes the last of her packing, and consider telling her how you feel about her. You're not sure if knowing will make leaving easier or harder for her, though, so you probably won't.

She looks up at you as she finishes packing and smiles contently at you. "Win this thing, okay?" She's not one for long goodbyes.

You give her a small smile. "I'll do my best."

She nods her approval, that's good enough for her. She stands, picking up her suitcase and walking over to the door.

She hesitates at the door and that's what makes you decide to do it. You get off of her bed and walk over to her, lightly catch her wrist. You gently spin her around to face you, and press your lips lightly to hers, she seems a bit surprised at first, but she kisses you back. As the kiss deepens, you pin her lightly against the door, one hand on her hip, the other lightly cupping the back of her neck.

You kiss for what feels like an eternity before you both break apart to catch your breath. She reaches up, undoing the necklace around her neck, and procedes to refasten it around your neck. She kisses your lips once more before carefully shifting out of your hold and smiling at you as she fixes her shirt.

Playing absentmindedly with the silver chain, you move from the doorway, watching quietly as she takes the handle of her suitcase and turns to look at you. She smiles almost sadly and reaches out, gently taking your free hand for a moment, giving it a soft squeeze, and you bite down gently on your bottom lip, willing yourself not to cry.

"I'll visit," she says softly as she lets go of your hand and opens the door.

You smile just a little at that, "You better."

She just smiles in response and slips out of the room. Neither of you know when she'll be back, but you both know that she will be.
