Tutorial 001

Okay, this tutorial has a lot of steps, because when I started this icon I didn't quite know where I was going :P I've kept things from all the steps in the end icon, but I'm sure it's an easier way to do this, if you actually have a plan when you start :P

This is lovely. I use a lot of curves too, hehe!

Especially helpful was the part about the background. I have been having a hard time figuring out how to make backgrounds look good/add negative space so this was really helpful. Added to memories and thank you! :D

I'm glad you found it helpful! As I said, I use different techniques, but if I can't use the original background at all I usually do this ^^

I usually use a lot of masks and a little bit of what you did in this, but the way of blending the subject with the new background looks like it works really well, so I'm going to try that.

Tale, this is an awesome tutorial. You would never know it's your first one. :) As for your English, when I first met you, I had no idea that English wasn't your native language. Even now, you don't make that many mistakes with it. :)

Also, I pretty much wish I watched that show just so I could use this icon. It's completely gorgeous! :D
