I LOVE this. I love that usually Christmas fics are happy but you've looked at the other side of the holiday season. You do it in such a beautiful and heartbreaking way. I really feel for Jacob in this. He wants so badly to go back to how things were before, but it's hard going back sometimes. Things change and people change and sometimes you have to let go and he can't, so its just absolutely heartbreaking.

The ending? IFHUJKDSAJHFHUIE. Absolutely BRILLIANT. And I kind of love that we dont really know how it ends or what happens next.

Also - I love that the people that participate in this annual tradition have dwindled away. Its such a realistic thing to note. I just loved that.
