Wow. I just --- WOW. I -- wow. Yeah, okay. *breathes* *breathes some more* Okay, so. WOW.

This is the saddest, most brilliant Arthur/Ariadne fic I've ever read. I always wrote them very happy (well, okay, that's not totally true) but there's something so perfect and honest and heartbreaking about this.

I genuinely believe that future!Ariadne would do this for Arthur if push came to shove. They've seen how this can destroy and in a way, ending it for Arthur is more humane than making him suffer through the confusion, the stress, the memories, the grief. These are not words I expected to say about this type of situation.

This was just so subtle, so them. Though they are mere shadows of the people they once were, they are them. Distinctly Arthur and Ariadne. The little details were perfect.

This is the first A/A fic I've read in 8 months. With anyone else, it wouldn't have been this easy to step back in. You aren't anyone else though. You are a brilliant writer. Never let anyone tell you differently.

Ohhhhh you are such a sweetheart. I was worried about how this would come out, considering I myself haven't written in the Inception fandom since September. But I'm so glad that you liked it. I am apparently a sucker for angst, so I'm glad you felt it worked.
