Note: "my" below is not my words, it's Janet's. I'm not Janet, I didn't write this. Sorry for any confusion.

I just wanted to let you know that I've friended you after reading your brilliant comments refuting the Rolling Stone article mentoined on autism recently. I'm Lili, a 33-year-old Aspie who is mother to one Aspie son and one Autistic daughter.

Be careful though -- I didn't write that, just copied it from what Janet wrote (probably should go annotate this entry so it doesn't confuse more people). I'm Amanda, not Janet, and I haven't had the time lately to refute much of anything in a coherent way. :-/

Still, it was brave of you to post it at all, considering all the curebies on that community. I also "know" you from elsewhere (the AutAdvo Yahoo group and, of course, the http://www.autistics.org/library pages) and I have learned so very much from you- over the past year I've gone from being a "curebie" to being an advocate for all forms of neurodiversity, in part because of what you've said. I'm not meaning to imply hero worship, but I am very grateful for all the information you've shared with the world.
