002: Finding One's Place in the World

[[Here we have one Diego Armando, dressed more or less like he always is, only with a suit jacket slung over one shoulder and a briefcase in hand. Coming home from work, maybe? He looks far too comfortable with this town and this life to be new, but he seems far too...well, cocky to be a drone

Gabriel's still out collecting the damned things, although he's gone from just pulling down his own, but to other people's as well. He hasn't met anyone yet who has appreciated having them all over the place. Might as well, right?

When he sees the man standing there, Gabriel watches him as he makes his way over. Four more photos and the man still hasn't moved. Odd.

"You okay, mate?"

[[Hearing a stranger's voice, Diego finally snaps out of it. Looking over at the stranger, he smiles affably. The paper is still clutched in his hand.]]

Hm? Yeah, of course. Doing just fine, thanks. Hey, these flyers, any idea where they came from?

No idea. Probably the same bastards who run this town.

[Gabriel pulls another photo taped to a mailbox.]

[Vorpal's taken over someone's stoop -- doesn't matter who's it is, but it's mostly definitely not hers -- and she's playing her guitar, the one she got back from the store (oh, happy days). When a lawyer crosses her line of vision, the tune she's playing shifts from a tune to idle strumming as an eyebrow goes up.]

[[It takes Diego a second to realize this girl's talking to him. He looks up from the paper in his hand briefly, a practiced grin curling his lips.]]

Flyer, Kitten. They seem to be all over the place lately. Mayfield's pretty big on the PR, isn't it?

Sure seems to be. [laughs] Gettin' a lotta people all riled up with those, too, Ah've noticed.
