My professor in Writing for the World Wide Web is requiring us to keep a personal, weekly blog over the course of the semester, so I've created a new blog for that. I'm not abandoning LiveJournal, but this'll probably mean I'll be updating it even less frequently than I currently do for the next four months.

Funny enough, I don't know the details. The only people who can create a feed are people with paid LJ accounts, and I've never had a paid account.

So, here's what you do:

(1) Find someone with a paid LJ account.

(2) Butter them up. Cookies and blackmail are always surefire strategies.

(3) Ask them to create an RSS feed from your non-LJ blog using the following URL: http://alexis.blogsome.com/feed/rss/

(4) Thank me with money, false compliments and/or more tasty hot chocolate.

(1) Hm, that's a tough one. Okay, I choose... um... myself.

(2) I choose blackmail.

(3) Okay, okay, I think I've got it figured out. Does it take a little while for the posts to start showing up?

(4) Very well, I choose the false compliment: You are the finest emperor Bulgaria ever had. :-)

(1) That may be cheating, but I'll have to check the rule book.

(2) Good choice. My personal favorite.

(3) Yeah, there's a delay between when you post on your blog and when the feed grabs it. I don't know the exact length of the delay, but it can at least be a few hours.

(4) You're god damn right I am.
